This sounds very impressive but it also states we have 80% of Victoria's hot springs when we actually have none - they are mineral springs and they are cold.   Daylesford does have a large gay and lesbian population with many businesses gay or lesbian run. Moving here from a rural city ten years ago Daylesford did seem like the "Gay Capital of Victoria" as it was reputed around the traps.  It was more open (I had never met anyone openly gay where I previously lived) than anywhere I had been previously.  But Victoria has matured a lot in a decade and I find most areas I visit have an open gay and lesbian community that probably wasn't as tolerated a decade ago so I don't find Daylesford any different now.  It probably was a trail blazer and still is more open than other areas but everyone in this beautiful destination is important and welcome.   Let's hope all towns become more like Daylesford.
