Daylesford Attractions (Click here for our new Directory Listings)
The attraction of Daylesford and Hepburn Springs is known throughout Australia.  Firstly it is the Spa capital of Australia offering an abundance of natural mineral water and spa therapies like massage.  Daylesford's natural beauty is breathtaking a township set on undulating hills surrounded by the eucalpypt forests of Wombat Forest.  There's even two beautiful lakes full even in the worst of droughts.

Daylesford Lake
The Daylesford Lake is man made having been originally gold diggings followed by extensive Chinese Market Gardens with their own village, Joss House and store. In 1883 it was discussed to turn the area into a lake and construction finally began in 1927.

Daylesford Spa Country Railway
A vintage railmotor trip through the beautiful Wombat Forest to Bullarto (also known as the Central Highlands Tourist Railway) Sundays 10am - 2.45pm. 1st Saturday of the month at 5.30pm champagne trip Raglan Street (Midland Hwy) Daylesford.

Lake Jubilee
Originally constructed in the 1800's for domestic water (including supplying the goldfields) it is fed by springs and creeks. Great place to take the whole family. A hike around the lake is less than half an hour, is totally unsuitable for disabled access, and on mylast visits was poorly maintained.

Daylesford Sunday Market
Every Sunday 8am to 3pm. Sun, shine, rain, hail, sleet and snow. Fresh local produce, crafts, plants, tools, clothing, car parts, books, trash & treasure and more. Take away food. Free car parking. Old Railway Station, Raglan St.

Daylesford Farmers Market
For a gold coin donation you can peruse the local produce of the Hepburn Shire (and further afield) within the beautiful surrounds of Victoria Park. There's plenty on offer here to cover almost all tastes in food.  Although it is considered a local market there were stall holders from far away (including if I remember correctly Mildura).
